    Young Indians (Yi) Parliament

Proud Hosts of the Young Indians (Yi) Parliament – Chennai Chapter!

We were honoured to host the Chennai Chapter Round of the Young Indians (Yi) Parliament on 30th June & 1st July 2025 at Swamy’s School. This dynamic two-day simulation of the Indian Parliament brought together 153 students from 11 leading schools across Chennai, engaging them in real-world governance processes - from forming political parties and representing constituencies to debating national issues and drafting innovative bills.

    Highlights included:

    • Student-led cabinet formation, party manifestos, and parliamentary sessions

    • Committee discussions on pressing topics: Education, Sustainability, Innovation & more

    • Lively debates, Question Hour, and even a Vote of No Confidence!

We were honoured by the presence of Thiru A. Krishnaswamy (MLA & Former MP), who conducted a live Zero Hour simulation, and Mr. Arun Rathod, National Vice Chair of Young Indians, who inspired students to be informed, engaged citizens.

The event concluded with certificates, celebration, and a strong sense of civic purpose among tomorrow’s leaders. We are proud to support future changemakers right here at Swamy’s!
